Rosie & Jeff Cowen | owners
Rosie a nearly 10 year local was born and raised in England where she learned the height of service in London’s West and bistros, and, later ski resorts in the Austrian and Swiss Alps. She also studied hospitality in the UK.
Jeff is a 16-year local who started in Tahoe working on the Lake as a sportfishing captain. Jeff now works full time for the environmental planning agency for Lake Tahoe known colloquially as TRPA. Mostly, Jeff attends the bathrooms and tries to keep the parking lot clean.
Ali Bererich | Function & Event Sales
Ali was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. She graduated in a Business Tourism Degree which led to her talent and love for organizing a variety of events. From creating world travel packages and ski travel trips to simply organizing family & friends events Ali has a special talent for making each event special and unique to each individual.
After planning her own destination wedding in Australia from overseas she found her true talent. Ali has called Lake Tahoe her home since 2002 and she believes that Tahoe is one of the most magical locations to be married or to have a special event. Ali realizes how important it is to provide people with the trust, professionalism and attention to detail for one of the most important days of your life.

Glen Simpson | executive chef
Chef Glenn Simpson has spent the last 15 years in South Lake Tahoe creating culinary splendors for several restaurants in the area. A transplant from New Zealand, and new to the Blue Angel, he has brought with him years of experience in creating well seasoned, honest food, aspiring always to thread a layer of simplicity through each dish.
Educated at the California School of Culinary Arts in South Pasadena, he has worked for The Fresh Ketch and the Christiana Inn while participating in numerous food and wine events throughout the Lake Tahoe region, obtaining several gold medals for Best Food and Wine pairing at the annual Sunset Magazine Autumn Food & Wine Festival at Squaw Creek. Eager to create and contribute exciting food for The Blue Angel, Glenn looks forward to presenting you with well crafted dishes aimed to please your modern palate.
